Scholarship Application
We recognize that many communities are under-represented in yoga and meditation. We recently established a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Radiance Sutras Institute, to make meditation accessible to everyone through training teachers who will bring these teachings to their respective communities.
Since 2021 we have offered close to 400 scholarships to students to participate in our programs.
If you are from under-represented communities and/or are experiencing considerable financial hardship, you can apply for a partial scholarship. If you are a senior, a person with disabilities, a member of the military, a member of law enforcement, or a school teacher (K through 12), we also welcome you to apply. Please state your circumstances in the application.
The full application is below, where we will ask you to let us know what tuition offering is truthful, honest, and in integrity with you, your finances and life circumstances. Please understand that we have limited funds for the scholarship program, and we will probably receive more applications than the number of scholarships that we can grant. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you will receive the scholarship. Therefore, please only apply if you truly can’t afford the current price of the program.
Commitment
Our training is a very rigorous professional development program. It is full 200 hours, and you get 1 year to complete your certification. We will teach you the real skills of being a meditation teacher.
Before applying for the scholarship, please really ask yourself: “Is this the right thing for me to do at this time of my life? Am I really able to commit to studying and completing this program?”
Minimal Tuition
We ask that no matter the circumstances, MINIMAL TUITION will be 50% of the cost of the program about $974 (USD).
If you can’t commit to paying at least this amount, please don’t apply for the scholarship.
We can’t offer additional discounts on the scholarships.
Can't Pay Minimal Tuition?

If you currently don’t have the funds to become a teacher but are interested in meditation, please join our mailing list. We often offer meditation events that are free of charge.

Our books are another excellent resource to consider.

Finally, you can join our community site for only $29 a month or $299 a year. This community site has meditation classes offered twice a week by highly trained teachers, recorded guided meditations, articles, etc. Plus, you can mingle with other meditators in the community. Pay Your Deposit
Deadline to Apply is Tuesday, April 15, 2025
You must pay the deposit to be considered for the scholarship.
In some of our previous programs, we had many people apply for a scholarship, but once they received it, they didn’t register for the training. Therefore, we request that only people who are serious about the training apply for the scholarship. To confirm your commitment, we ask that you submit a $200 (USD) deposit with your application. If you are denied the scholarship, we will return this deposit in full to you. If you receive the scholarship and register by the deadline, this deposit will be applied towards your final cost. If you receive the scholarship and reject it (in other words, not register by the deadline), this deposit is not refundable.
