Tightly controlling our own natural energies is exhausting

Life is a dance of opposites. Pulsating inside of us are many thoughts, needs, desires, and emotions. Often we are taught to try to control this natural flow of inner experience. Rather than approaching ourselves with curiosity and tenderness we begin to distrust, disconnect from, and eventually forget our instinctive wisdom.
It’s as if we are riding a powerful horse and it scares us. Instead of learning to communicate and build a relationship with this magnificent ally, we yank the reins this way and that, fearfully seeking control and causing confusion and resistance. Having this hostile relationship with ourselves brings no end of unnecessary struggle and suffering. How exhausting!!!
By tuning into ourselves in meditation, we can explore these dynamics and discover new ways of being.

Meditation can be defined as paying attention to the current of life and love flowing through us and riding it inward to our essence. This is an instinctive ability, a way of accessing inner wisdom, and we all can do it.
This work is based on the principle of syzygy (sizz’-uh-jee) – the dance of opposites that leads us into deeper union and freedom. Meditation and action, serenity and passionate expression, are the plus and minus poles of your life electricity. When you learn to welcome the full flow, you discover that what might seem like obstacles – raw emotions, restlessness, desire – are actually gateways into vitality, renewal, and creativity. It is a great way for your body, mind, and heart to recover from stress and face life’s challenges with your best functioning.

During our five weeks together, you learn some of the fundamental principles of Instinctive Meditation® that can serve you the rest of your life. Skillfully guided by Dr Lorin Roche and Camille Maurine, the process is further enriched by insights from The Radiance Sutras, Lorin’s fresh, illuminating version of an ancient yoga text.
Live Classes: We meet live each week for a 90-minute class with Lorin and Camille. Each class will explore one of the themes of Wild Serenity and will include time for questions and discussion.
Class Recordings: The live classes are recorded and available for you to revisit the following day.
Additional Class Resources: Each week you’ll also receive guided audio meditations and other juicy material – all hosted on our private online platform which includes a private discussion forum, where you can share your experience with the others on the course.

Lorin Roche, PhD
Co-Founder of RSSM
For 56 years Dr Lorin Roche has been exploring the Ancient Yoga Meditation traditions as described in the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra. He is a pioneer in developing personalized meditation practices, designing the techniques around an individual’s unique inner nature. He was awarded a PhD from the University of California, Irvine, where he has done extensive research on meditation and meditative experiences.
Lorin’s teachings help students feel that meditation is more like an innate skill that you are remembering than a technique that you are learning. This work is aimed at activating an individual’s internal guidance systems and bringing forth your instinctive knowing, so that you can safely practice meditation without being dependent upon gurus, systems, or external authorities.

Camille Maurine
Co-Founder of RSSM
Camille Maurine is a renowned meditation and movement mentor with a passion for female spiritual empowerment. She brings five decades of practice to her innovative teachings. In addition, Camille’s integrative approach draws upon many years of training in various healing arts, including the study of Jungian depth psychology and Continuum. She is the creator of Moving Theater of the Soul, a transformational creative process.
Camille’s wise, liberating approach is expressed in the groundbreaking book Meditation Secrets for Women: Discovering Your Passion, Pleasure, and Inner Peace.
